The Italian young talent has won numerous national and international awards such as the “City of Vittorio Veneto Prize”, “Riviera della Versilia”, “New Horizons Arezzo Competition”, “Alfredo and Wanda Marosig European Competition”, “Rovere d’Oro International Competition”, “Salieri Competition”, and “Geminiani Competition”. As the best graduate student of the year, he made his solo debut at the age of 17, performing Dvořák’s cello concerto. He graduated very young with top marks from the “C. Pollini” conservatory with Mario Finotti, continuing his advanced studies at the prestigious international institutions of “Universität Mozarteum” in Salzburg with Enrico Bronzi and “Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris” with Marc Coppey. His training also includes numerous solo masterclass participations with renowned teachers such as Michael Flaksman, Eric Maria Couturier, Giovanni Gnocchi, Jakob Koranyi, Raphaël Pidoux, Giovanni Sollima, Alexander Chaushian, and Gary Hoffman.
The Italian young talent has won numerous national and international awards such as the “City of Vittorio Veneto Prize”, “Riviera della Versilia”, “New Horizons Arezzo Competition”, “Alfredo and Wanda Marosig Since his youth, he has cultivated his passion for chamber music, graduating from the prestigious “Accademia Santa Cecilia” in Rome under the guidance of Ivan Rabaglia (Trio di Parma). He has also had the opportunity to refine his skills with chamber musicians of the caliber of Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), Eckart Runge (Artemis Quartet), Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet), Leonhard Roczek (Minetti Quartet), Eszter Haffner, Jacques Ammon (Cello duo Project), Henning Kraggerud, and Wolfgang Redik (Wiener Klaviertrio). He has performed in various chamber formations from duo to octet with renowned chamber musicians and soloists such as Alexander Gadjiev, Giovanni Zanon, Marc Coppey, Marcel Mok, Eszter Haffner, Keigo Mukawa, Lorenzo Pone, Teira Yamashita, Margherita Santi, Haruna Shinoyama, Aleksandr Shaikin, Axel Trolese, and Giovanni Gnocchi. He regularly performs in chamber music groups at international festivals such as the EUYO Ferrara Chamber Academy, the Ravenna Festival, the Accademia dei Cameristi di Bari, the Viotti Festival, Emilia Romagna Concerts, Berg:Klassik in Bad Hofgastein, and the Trame Sonore Festival in Bari.
His interest in orchestras led him to serve as principal cellist in numerous youth and professional orchestras including the Orchestra Senza Spine, Y.M.E.O., Orchestra Italo Montemezzi, Orchestra del Luglio Trapanese, Orchestra Fondazione Teatro Goldoni, Philharmonie Salzburg, and Bad Reichenhaller Philharmoniker. One of his most significant experiences was collaborating with the renowned “Ensemble InterContemporain” specializing in contemporary music under the direction of Matthias Pintscher. He also won a position with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Turin, with which he collaborates regularly, and another with the Arena di Verona Foundation Orchestra. As principal cellist, he has had the opportunity to work with conductors such as Bruno Weil, Hans Graf, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Alessandro Bonato, Daniele Agiman, Andrea Battistoni, Kirill Petrenko, and Daniele Gatti.
In his various chamber and symphonic concerts, he has performed in important concert halls such as: Philharmonie de Paris, Wiener Saal in Salzburg, Villa Carlotta in Como, Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Giuseppe di Stefano in Trapani, Teatro Ristori in Verona, and Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg.
Among his teaching experiences, it is worth noting his presence in China at the FCAEC music school in Dalian, twinned with the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, as a cello teacher. His interest and curiosity towards contemporary music have led him to perform works by important modern and living composers. He had the opportunity to perform the opera “Limonen Aus Sizilien” by composer Manfred Trojahn, in the presence of the composer himself, and works by Valentin Silvestrov together with Giovanni Gnocchi for the award ceremony at the Mondo Musica fair in Cremona. Together with his brother Demian Baraldi, a violinist, he recorded the world premiere of music by Louis Massonneau for Brilliant Classics, available on all streaming platforms.
Currently, Dylan Baraldi plays an Arnaldo Morano 1938 cello, kindly loaned to him from a private collection.
